- Winnow is the larger of the cottages. It is south
facing and has two single beds. It is equipped with shower/WC, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave and
television. This was the area of the steading where the corn was winnowed as indicated by the opposing doors
for the prevailing south-westerly winds to separate the husk from the grain. It is a charming
cottage.
