- Gable is very similar to Winnow except that it has a
double bed and is west facing and so catches
- the sunshine after a day out. Everyone loves this
cottage. When we converted the steading it was mainly
- to preserve the gable sandstone wall. Unfortunately I
arrived home one day to find the gable wall had collapsed,
- while they underpinned it, despite a great deal of
scaffolding. At least the builders didn't ask for any more money
- and we gained a little more space.
- Recently we produced a patio with French doors
onto it. People who used to stay in Winnow now prefer Gable!
